Notes to self after time away/big changes

I just got back from four weeks out of the office (and mostly off email/web). The last three weeks I was out of the country, traveling to places I've never been. I saw many interesting and new-to-me things. Also and more importantly, now I'm married, which is new to me.

I'm trying not to jump back in the fray with both feet, but rather use this time and the rare perspective to assess and think about next steps and the future beyond. You know, like one does.

So far, I've come to zero epiphanies, but several worthwhile, if cliched, notions about what I'd like to do. Including:

  • Minimize trivialities.
  • Unsubscribe from as many things as possible.
  • Clean up old junk (mental and physical).
  • Read more books.
  • Develop one or more hobbies.
