The upside to the downslide

The upside to the downslide. I just bought a 500mhz/64MB/3GB HP Vectra for $100 from what used to be a dot-com in our building. It'll make a lovely Linux server (hell, with a little more RAM, it wouldn't make a bad desktop). Such bargains make me giddy -- even though I wasn't necessarily in the market for another PC (but when you have a fast connection, you can never have too many servers, right? Besides, it's chilly in here since they turned the air on.) I have a call into another liquidating company who's advertised a whole gaggle of Dells. I must have more of my mother (a major garage sale and thriftstore enthusiast) in me than I realized.
