James Carver's Ten Biggest Internet Myths is pretty laughable. The introduction isn't too bad, but the reasoning behind calling many of these things "myths" is greatly flawed on many of them -- and on the rest, no one really believes the statements anyway. The funniest part is, he sounds a lot like the old-school "Web-o-phobes" he mocks. For example, he states flatly that no one likes to shop on the web and that there are only "one or two" other sites (besides his) that have content that isn't available in print (that being the reason people don't pay for the content).

I was playing with Third Voice today for the first time and marked up the above link with all kinds of smart-ass comments. It's kinda fun!

Speaking of Third Voice, last night I talked to the CEO of a competitive company in Palo Alto, called Zadu. Zadu's product, which is currently in limited beta, will combine web post-it's and discussion, al a Third Voice, with presence and instant messaging, a la ICQ, along with chat rooms and some other stuff. Sounds interesting. I just wish these things could all talk to each other, and that I could tap into them with my tools. We have to get past these applications which hold their data hostage.
