I've spent way too much time this morning thinking about and discussing Fight Club, which I saw last night. I even wrote an Epinion, bashing the film, but didn't post it (yet), because the process of writing it gave me new insights that I hadn't previously had. Interesting. I may get back to the review later.

Meanwhile, one thing's for sure: Nothing clarifies your thinking like writing. I think I made this (well-known) point a while back. I'm saying it again to remind myself. Along these lines, I've been planning on putting up a "book notes" section of this site, where I'd have a little "mini-blog" of books I read, as (and after) I read them, where I'd jot down good quotes, obvservations, related links, etc. I mostly want to do this for my own benefit; I think I'll get a lot more out of the books this way, instead of just reading them, digesting the nuggets that appeal to me at the moment and putting them on the shelf for (possible) future reference.
