Friday's Valley Talk is a review of Randy Komisar's new book, The Monk and the Riddle. It strikes a cord with me: "Lenny strikes Komisar as little more than an opportunist panning for a fast buck. The people Komisar likes to work with have strong personal reasons besides money for starting their business. With Lenny, he can't tell why the guy is so charged about Funerals.com, except for the idea that one day there will be an IPO or big acquisition that will make everyone a lot of money....It's the same rabid opportunism he observed while meeting the founders of several of the 'Petsomething' companies who admitted to him that they don't actually own pets or particularly like animals." Blech.
