The web application panel went really well. It was fun, energetic,
exciting. It was in a very small room, which was a little disappointing
when I first saw it, but that made for a high energy discussion with
lots of audience participation. And it was standing-room only, which is
always better than seeing lots of empty seats when you're up on stage.
At one point, after a couple of the demos, Tim O'Reilly said (approx.):
"I have a question: Why isn't this in the big room? This is the most
interesting stuff of the conference so far" -- which seemed to be the
sentiment of most of the people in the room, judging from people I
talked to later.
