Also from The Industry Standard, via Tomalak this morning: the story of Brian O'Donnell, a Weber grill retailer, who Weber-Stephen Co., the manufacturer, sued for his domain, webergrill.com. Fortunately, they (Weber-Stephen) lost. Now, I can understand them wanting the domain and thinking that they should own it, but what I can't understand is suing one of their best customers and evangelists -- and eliminating sales of their own product -- in order to get it. How can a company be so arrogant as to go to war with its best customers? I suppose that's what you get when you put lawyers in charge.
