Okay, so turns out, "I'll be updating here sporadically" was a lie. I got back from New York last night. I had a great trip -- both business- and pleasure-wise. I was really impressed with New York, too. It's not a big, scary, mean place. It's rather pleasant. But exciting and tall and fast. If it was always autumn there, I'd consider moving. I took several hundred pictures. Unfortunately, due to download problems (forgot my USB cable), most of them are on someone else's computer (who, I notice, has stolen my thunder by being quicker to report her version of the trip.)

I'm way behind on email and everything else. But at least it's Sunday. I think it's often a good idea to come back from trips on Saturday instead of extending them through Sunday. Gives you time to settle back in before being thrown into a discombobulating week.
