Mini-Review: Just finished Jimmy Corrigan: The Smartest Kid on Earth. What an amazing, heart-wrenching, beautiful work of art. I knew it was an incredible aesthetic object when I bought it a few months ago (after seeing Caterina's). What I didn't realize until I actually started reading a couple nights ago was how pleasurable it would be to experience. I highly recommend it for yourself, or as a gift -- especially for those on your list with awkward paternal relationships and a tendency toward self-confidence issues with women. Not that it will cheer them up. Except in the way that experiencing a beautiful work of art can.
