No Camera, No Pics The predictable result of my new design not forcing me to post a pic of the day in order to write has happened: No pics of the day. However, there is another, nonobvious, cause: My camera is broken. Yes, my rather new, not-cheap, Olympus 3030z. The lens stopped going in an out as it's supposed to. The motor just sits there and clicks, painfully. Started acting up in November (just a couple months after I got it), stopped working altogether a few weeks ago. This doesn't preclude having a pic of the day, of course, since I have thousands on my hard drive that I haven't used. But I tend to not look at them if I'm not taking new pictures. Anyway, I realized the other day how much I've missed not having my camera. The last few weeks have been the only significant time in almost three years that I haven't had a camera with me often, if not usually. And it's my main creative outlet when I'm not coding (which I rarely do anymore). So, I finally sent it in for warranty repairs yesterday. Hopefully, I'll get it back sometime before spring.
