Weblogs inching ever closer to mainstream? In Art's Cold Welcome on the Web, Paulina Borsook writes, "But the larger problem remains: a mindset that holds that creators shouldn't be compensated for their work, that all human creation is the equivalent of a Web log by a hobbyist with a day job." I really love that weblog (even if it is "Web log") is mentioned in passing in the NY Times, as if everyone knows what it is. Of course, there's still the hobbyist implication. But, still -- we've come a long way, baby!
