Java(TM) Technology and XML Usage Continues to Grow While Visual Basic Usage Erodes: "According to research issued by the Evans Data Corporation on April 17, 2001, Visual Basic usage has eroded since Spring 2000. At that time 62% of developers claimed to use Visual Basic some part of the time, with mean time spent using the language at 27.8% of the time. Today only 46% claim to use Visual Basic and the average time spent using it is down to 20.8%." Wow, that's a huge decrease in a year, if it's to be believed. Though pointed to from Sun's site, the study wasn't, apparently, commissioned by Sun.
