NYTimes to launch financial weblog?
According to the NYPost, "The New York Times is launching an online financial news site financed with ad revenues.
In doing so, The Times is borrowing a page from media maven Jim Romenesko, who edits Poynter.org, a free Web service for media news that has proved highly popular. The project, under the name 'DealBook,' will cull financial news from a wide variety of daily newspaper and Web sources each morning....The service will arrive via e-mail each morning before the market opens, with a short summary and links to stories in The Times, as well as its rivals, ranging from the Wall Street Journal and the Financial Times to The New York Post."
