Ready, set, go. The third-annual National Novel Writing Month begins November 1, 2001 (as in, write a 50,000-word novel in a month). Damn, that idea really appeals to me. My creative juices have been on overflow lately, but I don't know I'm up for the task at this time. Or, rather, I think I'd prefer to spend it programming. Next year, though, I'm in. Another thought: While it wouldn't quite fit into the NaNoWriMo rules (I assume), it'd be interesting to write a novel collaboratively online in a month. I've seen and been a part of collaborative fiction on the web, and it's often good for a laugh, but this speed-output approach would be fun (if exhausting). <via molly>
