Every once in a while, I'm using IE and my Google Toolbar gets turned off (on purpose or by accident), and I go to a page, and some uninteresting other page "pops up," and I didn't even intend it to. I find it unpleasant. And then I remember, oh yeah, that's what the web was like before I ran pop-up blockers.
