I was miffed a couple days ago when I went to insert a CD into my new Powerbook, and it wouldn't even go in all the way. I just got this machine, and part of the reason I upgraded (besides it being faster and because I was going to pay for Tiger anyway) was because the drive was busted on my last one. And the drive was busted on my one before that, as well.
But those I had dropped, and I hadn't even dropped this one yet (not hard, at least). And not only did the drive not work, I heard something rattling around in there, so something was definitely broken, hardware-wise.
This morning, when I got it out of my bag, I saw a quarter sticking out. A couple shakes, and my drive works again.
