Lots of smart stuff from Jeff Bezos in this WSJ interview (sub required): "Working in one of our distribution centers, you understand that if a shipment doesn't go out on time, some child isn't going to have anything under the tree on Dec. 25th. That makes our purpose very real. It's part of building that culture of customer obsession." It's easy to see why he's leading an ass-kicking company (whether you like them or not, they continue to kick ass).
