Every now and then, I'll read or hear someone mention something about life in California, and it'll take me a second to realize, Hey, that's where I live! California. It has such dream-like qualities when you grow up in the middle of the country and don't know anyone here and don't even get west of Colorado until you're 24. I live in California. How interesting.
