A friend is looking for a contract developer for a new web site, which I'm advising on.
We're very interested in using Ruby on Rails, but since that framework is only a couple months old, we'll settle for PHP if that's what you know and prefer.
Most importantly, you should have lots of solid experience architecting and developing database-driven sites. All the usual suspects will be included -- feed parsing/creation, user accounts, mysql...
The initial project will be something like 4-6 weeks as a contract (paid hourly). But they'd love to have someone who'd possibly be interested in joining a small startup team if all goes well. (Bay Area only please.)
Please send your resume/references to developer AT citizenware DOT com.
